About Us
Welcome to Little Lemons Sports Inc! We are a group of experienced coaches, but most importantly passionate and excited to share the sports that we love with your little ones. We believe that a child’s first time experiencing sports should be productive, but most of all fun and exciting
About Us
Grown in Calgary, AB
At Little Lemons Sports we encourage all types of physical activity- running, jumping, yoga, balancing, dancing, skating, skipping, as well as working on other skills to promote agility, control and balance.
Our programs allow children the chance to emulate what they see and to practice those skills. It gives them an outlet for creativity and experimentation, while also helping them learn how to interact and communicate with others. Young children learn how things fit together through play, It allows them to use their senses and encourages exploration and curiosity; these skills are the foundation of intellectual development.
Our sports programs develop your child’s athletic ability, while also demonstrating, leadership, adventure, self discovery and fitness. Your children will be introduced to traditional and new sporting games to promote and develop their independence, self confidence, life skills and teamwork.
MEET THE TEAM
Kara Agosta, Owner/Head Coach
“Figure skating has always been a passion of mine as well as mentoring, guiding, and being a role model to little ones. If I could pass down anything that I learned to prepare my skaters for success it would bring me great joy. Being a skating coach is so rewarding; my favourite parts are watching their faces light up when accomplishing an element and when they receive their first badges. Skating has always played a huge role in my life, and I hope to ignite the same passion within the students I work with.”

Little Lemons Safety Reminders
Little Lemons Safety Reminders
Parent's Safety Checklist
Before each lesson skaters (with the help of parents) should:
- Be at the gate on time so that the instructor can lead each child one by one to the ice (keep in mind we only have 30-minute sessions).
- Check that skates are sharp and laced up properly.
- Be wearing gloves, long pants or tights, and a light sweater or jacket.
- Ensure that their helmet is certified.
- Parent must wear skates on ice.
Little Lemon's Safety Checklist
Throughout every lesson, our coaches do their best to ensure your little skater’s safety. Our instructors are experienced at encouraging children of varying ages to practice safe skating habits and preventing collisions during lessons. Some of the precautions Little Lemons’ coaches take to protect our skaters are:
- Name tags are given out during the first session and are skaters are required to wear them to identify the child.
- On the ice, our instructors explain the importance of being cautious with blades and toe picks to avoid the danger of running over fingers.
- Constant reminders will be given during lessons to form safe habits in the skaters when practicing unsafe behaviour.
