Programs

Our Lessons

At Little Lemons Sports Inc., we believe that learning should feel joyful, empowering, and full of discovery. Our skating programs are built on the idea that confidence grows when children feel supported, challenged at the right pace, and encouraged to explore what their bodies can do on the ice. Just like a perfect glass of lemonade, our approach blends fun with skill development, because we know kids learn best when they’re smiling.

Our programs follow the natural progression of early skating development and are thoughtfully designed for children of varying ages, abilities, and comfort levels. Each level focuses on three core pillars of movement:

 🍋Stability

Helping little skaters feel steady, safe, and confident on their blades.

🍋 Composure

Introducing purposeful movement, coordination, and foundational skating skills.

🍋 Quickness

Building speed, power, and readiness for more advanced skating or sport pathways.

By the end of each program, our Little Lemons graduate with a well‑rounded set of skills that support not only skating, but overall physical literacy. All programs run in 6-week sessions, with 30 ‑ 40 minute lessons, offered at various times throughout the year to accommodate busy family schedules. Skating is a lifelong sport that teaches far more than technique. Patience, participation, perseverance, and pride are just a few of the values children naturally develop on the ice. Whether your child is stepping onto the rink for the very first time or continuing to grow their abilities, every Little Lemon leaves with something meaningful,  new skills, new confidence, and memories that last.

Welcome to Little Lemons Sports Inc., where every child can shine, grow, and discover their spark on the ice.

MEET THE TEAM

Kara Agosta, Owner/Head Coach

Figure skating has always been a passion of mine as well as mentoring, guiding, and being a role model to little ones. If I could pass down anything that I learned to prepare my skaters for success it would bring me great joy. Being a skating coach is so rewarding; my favourite parts are watching their faces light up when accomplishing an element and when they receive their first badges. Skating has always played a huge role in my life, and I hope to ignite the same passion within the students I work with.”

About KaRa Agosta

Kara began her skating journey in 1987 with the Leamington Figure Skating Club, where she spent nearly a decade building the foundation of her competitive and technical skill. She later trained at the world‑renowned Mariposa Skating Schoolone of the most respected high‑performance skating facilities in Canada. There, she had the privilege of being coached by Michelle Leigh and Doug Leigh, celebrated Olympic‑level coaches known for shaping some of the sport’s greatest athletes.

Inspired by her childhood heroes—Kristi Yamaguchi, Oksana Baiul, and Michelle Kwan—Kara developed a deep appreciation for both the athletic and artistic sides of figure skating.

Her training reflects that balance, with extensive experience in:
  • Jump and Spin Technique
  • Turn and Artistic Classes
  • Flexibility
  • Strength Classes
  • Off Ice Jump Class
  • Lecture Series
  • Choreography
  • Ballet
  • Dance
  • Edge
She has also completed a wide range of Skate Canada skill levels, including:

• PT 1: Prenovice Competitive Singles (Short)
• PT 2: Prenovice Competitive Singles (Freeskate)
• Skating Skills Classes 4, 5, 6, 7
• Competitive Skating Skills 4

Beyond her technical background, Kara is certified in First Aid, CPR, and the HIGH FIVE program, ensuring a safe, supportive, and developmentally appropriate environment for every child who steps on the ice.

Today, Kara channels her lifelong love of skating into nurturing the next generation. Her coaching style blends patience, positivity, and precision, helping little skaters build strong fundamentals while discovering their own spark on the ice.

Little Lemons Skating is more than a program; it’s Kara’s way of giving back to the sport that shaped her life.
